Dr. Akshay Dhiman — Orthopaedic & Neurological Conditions | Medical Officer

Dr. Akshay Dhiman is a homeopathy practitioner from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, whose clinical work is centred around orthopaedic and neurological disorders. After qualifying NEET in 2019, he pursued BHMS from Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru State Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Kanpur. Since joining WeClinic Homeopathy in 2025, he has been treating patients with conditions including sciatica, slip disc, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, migraine and ankylosing spondylitis.

Medicine was always the destination, but the path changed. Like many students, Dr. Akshay initially aspired to become an MBBS doctor. Homeopathy, however, had quietly been part of his life through his grandfather, who practised it, and a chemistry teacher who introduced him to its philosophy long before medical college. During his BHMS years, one principle convinced him completely: homeopathy treats the individual, not merely the diagnosis.

That idea continues to guide every consultation. He believes two patients with the same complaint rarely have the same story. Their lifestyle, emotional wellbeing, food habits, sleep and personal circumstances often reveal far more than the disease name itself.

At WeClinic, most of the patients he sees are living with musculoskeletal and neurological problems. He has also observed a striking pattern: many chronic orthopaedic complaints are closely linked to modern routines. Long hours of sitting, limited movement and everyday lifestyle choices frequently become silent contributors to pain. His approach is therefore not limited to prescribing medicines; it also focuses on helping patients make practical, sustainable changes that fit into their daily lives.

One of his most memorable cases involved a patient with ankylosing spondylitis who arrived with severe spinal stiffness and an inability to hold his neck upright. Months into the consultation, Dr. Akshay discovered that prolonged emotional distress following a family property dispute had become an important part of the patient's overall health picture. The patient's significant improvement in pain and mobility reinforced his belief that listening patiently is often as important as clinical judgement.

He draws lasting inspiration from renowned homeopath Dr. J. P. Kant, whose words remain his guiding principle: “Do not treat the disease. Treat the man.”

Outside the clinic, Dr. Akshay enjoys travelling to the mountains and believes reading is one habit that constantly makes him a better physician.
