Mr. Alok Katiyar is a dynamic entrepreneur, innovator and co-founder of WeClinic Homeopathy, a pioneering startup committed to transforming Indian healthcare through the power of homoeopathy. Born in Kanpur to a pharmacist father, Alok grew up in a family where stability and conventional career paths were the norm — entrepreneurship was a foreign concept, and advice often centred around securing a dependable job.

His story took an unconventional turn, shaped by his curiosity, his sister’s achievements, and his own determination to push boundaries. Inspired by his sister, who excelled at IIT and went on to become a doctor, Alok earned a top rank in the Uttar Pradesh state board exams in 2003 and secured admission to IIT Roorkee, one of India’s premier institutions.

During his second year, a spark of entrepreneurship ignited. He built an app for government exam preparation that crossed 5,000 downloads in its first week and began generating steady income. The turning point came during campus placements, when he realised a candidate interviewing beside him was using his app — he skipped placements altogether, and by graduation his venture was earning ₹3 lakh per month. He went on to found Mad Guys Labs, a content-platform startup that grew to a 25–30 person team with ₹25 lakh invested by IIT Roorkee, before the 4G video revolution taught him hard lessons about adaptability and scale.

In 2019, Alok returned to Kanpur with his wife, Dr. Deeksha Katiyar. During a dengue outbreak, the couple organised free homoeopathy camps that showed patients the effectiveness of homeopathic treatment — and inspired them to start WeClinic Homeopathy with an initial investment of just ₹2.5 lakh. When COVID-19 disrupted offline operations in 2020, Alok quickly built a platform for online consultations; with an innovative cash-on-delivery model, the business scaled to over 1,000 patients daily by the end of that year.

Today, WeClinic™ Homeopathy blends traditional homoeopathy with modern technology to deliver accessible, personalised and effective treatment — handling over 2.5 lakh consultations monthly through its Kanpur and Noida clinics and teleconsultation centre, with a proven 98% cure rate across diverse conditions. Alok’s vision goes beyond running a successful business: he dreams of transforming India’s healthcare landscape with a model that is accessible, affordable and impactful.

Dr. Deeksha Katiyar is an experienced homeopathic physician with a demonstrated history in the health, wellness and fitness industry. She is adept in Clinical Research, Medicine, Public Health & Wellness, and her treatment expertise covers Gastroenterology (Piles / Fistula / Fissure, Gastric complaints, GERD, IBD) and Arthritis (Gout, Cervical, Sciatica and Osteoarthritis).

After completing her Post-Graduation in Homoeopathy from The London College of Homoeopathy, Hounslow, U.K., Dr. Deeksha observed that homeopathic doctors practising in India typically follow one of three routes — a government job, a role at a large corporate, or their own clinic. She was drawn to starting her own clinic, but saw one clear drawback: a clinic owner can only serve a small regional population.

To overcome this, she conceived a new-generation clinic combining physical and online presence — the idea that became WeClinic™ Homeopathy, the venture she co-founded with her husband Alok Katiyar in 2020.

At WeClinic™, Dr. Deeksha heads the doctors’ team and consults daily with patients through physical OPD and tele-consultations. She leads internal case discussions, monitors service quality and prescriptions, and contributes to the WeClinic™ Homeopathy YouTube channel. Her vision is to help as many people as possible experience the benefits of homeopathic treatment — and to grow WeClinic™ into a household pan-India brand in the coming years.
