What Cephalandra is — and what it is not
Ivy gourd is an Indian vegetable and a folk bitter for “sugar.” Ghose introduced it into homoeopathy. Some Kolkata writers once called it an “Indian substitute for insulin.” Chopra and Bose already failed to show a reliable drop in sugar in early work; later herbal extracts of Coccinia have mixed lab and small-clinic stories. That is leaf chemistry, not Cephalandra 30.
It is not insulin. The and are unambiguous: Type 1 requires daily insulin. A homeopathic tablet cannot cover a Type 1.
Q bottles are ethanol plus cucurbit chemistry. They can, in principle, add to hypos if stacked on sulphonylureas or insulin — which is why you do not DIY them against a glucometer.

There is no reliable, independently replicated trial that Cephalandra 30C lowers HbA1c or replaces indicated medicines.
What exists: rat STZ models; a add-on series of Cephalandra Q beside conventional drugs (no HbA1c in that older report); small open Q studies; a crossover paper in a homeopathy journal that is not a substitute for diabetes care. Herbal Coccinia grandis tablets (hundreds of milligrams) are a different product from 30C.
