Born and raised in a humble family background in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Alok pursued an Integrated Dual degree (B. Tech + M. Tech) in Chemical Engineering with Hydrocarbon Engineering from IIT-Roorkee. During his college years, Alok had taken up the initiative to self-learn coding from YouTube; thereafter he had experimented with building quite a few educational apps and published those on Playstore and in parallel started running Google Ads. Soon, he had started earning income from Google Ads, and then in the last year of his college, Alok decided to pursue entrepreneurship in a full-fledged manner. This in turn led to the foundation of his first entrepreneurial pursuit named MadGuy Labs – an app in the domain of online exam preparation, which became India's first ed-tech startup to offer government jobs’ preparatory material in vernacular languages.
While heading MadGuy Labs, Alok successfully learnt about the differences in terms of user behavior for the ad-based revenue model vs. the freemium business model. He also raised funds from various external investors, including TIDES IIT-Roorkee, Villgro Innovations Foundation, Gray Matters Capital, among others. However, after facing some internal issues and roadblocks, Alok decided to quit MadGuy. But the entrepreneurial fire was still burning inside him; his wife being homeopathic physician, and his sister being a gynecologist, Alok decided to pursue venture in healthcare, thus leading to the inception of WeClinic™ Homeopathy in 2020.
As the co-founder of WeClinic™, Alok handles the company’s entire tech operations, digital marketing and social media, among other key responsibilities. He is also responsible for scaling of operations and the business at large, mainly by incorporating and working on feedback patients. His vision is to take WeClinic™ pan-India and reach over 1 lakh patients per month within the next 3 years.
Dr. Deeksha Katiyar

She is an experienced homeopathy physician who has a demonstrated history of working in the health, wellness and fitness industry. She is adept in Clinical Research, Medicine, Public Health & Wellness; and her areas of expertise in terms of treatment of patients include Gastroenteritis (Piles / Fistula / Fissure + Gastric + GERD + IBD) and Arthritis (Gout, Cervical, Sciatica, and Osteoarthritis).
After completing her Post-Graduation in Homoeopathy from The London College of Homoeopathy, Hounslow, U.K., Dr. Deeksha realized that homeopathic doctors practicing in India majorly have 3 career routes to pursue – one, to join a Government job; second, to join large corporates; and third, to start one’s own clinic. While Dr. Deeksha was inclined towards starting her own clinic, but she noticed a drawback that as a clinic owner a doctor can only serve a small regional area population. In a bid to overcome this problem, she eventually came up with the idea of a new-generation clinic that shall have a mix of physical and online presence. And this is what led to the inception of WeClinic™ Homeopathy – a venture that she started-up with her husband and co-founder Alok Katiyar in 2020.
At WeClinic™, Dr. Deeksha heads the doctors’ team, and does daily consultations with her patients through Physical OPD and tele-consultations. She also regularly takes part in internal discussions among the doctors, monitors service quality and prescribing of the medicines to patients, and also contributes towards making videos for the WeClinic™ Homeopathy’s Youtube channel. Her vision with WeClinic™ is to help maximum people realize the benefits of homeopathy treatment and thereby also grow and make WeClinic™ into a pan-India brand in the next few years’ time.
