Sabina 30 Uses: Heavy Bright-Red Periods, Plant Poison

Sabina 30 is the usual home potency of Juniperus sabina (savin juniper). Homeopaths classically give it for bright-red uterine bleeding in gushes, with labour-like pain from sacrum to pubis. A properly made 30C contains no measurable savin oil. The plant, oil and mother tincture (Q) can abort, injure kidneys and kill. Do not drink “savin tea” to bring on a period.

What Sabina is — and what it is not

Sabina is prepared from the fresh young twigs and leaves of savin juniper. The keynote is haemorrhage that comes in gushes, blood bright red, often with clots, and a drawing pain from the small of the back to the pubic bone.

It is not a gentle period herb. Oil of savin was an old emmenagogue and abortifacient. King’s American Dispensatory recorded gastroenteritis, strangury, pelvic congestion, coma and death. Modern herbal safety sheets treat savin tops as poisonous — not a supplement. Pregnancy + any material savin is a forensic and medical emergency, not a home experiment.

A 30C, if made as labelled, sits past Avogadro’s number. That is why the plant and the pellet must not be confused.

What the evidence says

There is no reliable trial that Sabina 30 treats menorrhagia, fibroids, threatened miscarriage, gout or warts.

Heavy menstrual bleeding has medical definitions (soaking pads, clots, anaemia). and gynaecology guidance put ultrasound, iron, hormones, tranexamic acid, GnRH agents and procedures where they belong. Homeopathy is not on that list as a fibroid shrinker.

If a blog teaches “Sabina for abortion at the third month,” that is poisoning folklore. We will not give a method.

What Sabina 30 is classically used for

Menses too early, too profuse, too long, blood bright, partly clotted; pain from sacrum to pubis; worse from motion; better lying on the back with legs extended in some old notes. Walking sometimes “increases the flow” in the materia medica — that is a keynote, not exercise advice during haemorrhage.

Bleeding between periods with pelvic congestion appears in Clarke. So does a gouty, plethoric woman who also has fig-warts (Sabina sits near Thuja in the sycotic lists). Warts still need a diagnosis; see warts.

After miscarriage or labour the old books used Sabina for lingering bright-red loss. That is historical. Postpartum haemorrhage and incomplete miscarriage are obstetric emergencies.

Sabina is not a proven treatment for uterine fibroids. Location and size of leiomyomas decide medical options. A globule does not replace myomectomy, a GnRH agonist, or a haemoglobin check.

Sabina 30 vs 200 vs Q

Sabina 30 uses is the self-care search. Sabina 200 is not stronger period medicine. Daily 200C is how people manufacture aggravations.

How to take Sabina 30

• Clean mouth; dissolve globules.
• Only if a clinician has already ruled out pregnancy, ectopic, and unstable anaemia — or you are already in follow-up for a known heavy-period pattern.
• A few globules once or twice, then leave it. If soaking continues, you need haemoglobin and gynaecology, not a higher potency.
• Children: not a DIY puberty-period drug.
• Pregnancy: no Q, no oil, no herbal savin. 30C is chemically empty but this plant’s reputation is abortifacient — do not self-start it.

Side effects and poisoning — keep them separate
