Homeopathy for Cirrhosis: Hepatology, Not Chelidonium
Homeopathic medicine for liver cirrhosis is sold as Chelidonium, Carduus, Lycopodium or “liver tinctures.” Cirrhosis is fibrosis and nodule formation after long injury (alcohol, hepatitis B/C, NAFLD/NASH, autoimmune, iron, copper). It does not un-scar with 30C. Care is stop the cause, vaccinate, screen varices and HCC, nutrition, diuretics for ascites, and transplant when indicated. - Stop alcohol. That sentence outweighs this entire blog.
- Take antivirals if HBV/HCV is the cause. Cure of HCV is DAAs, not Carduus.
- Salt restriction and diuretics as prescribed for ascites.

- Vaccines: hepatitis A/B if not immune; pneumococcal as advised.
- Screening endoscopy and HCC ultrasound on the hepatologist’s clock.
